JAMES SHAK &
JOCELYN YEO

Lay Advisors
James was born into a Catholic family and raised as a practising Catholic in the Federal Territory of Labuan.  He worked in the same company for 40 years before retiring in 2017. We know him to be a man of very few words unless provoked to speak! Always a man behind the scenes, he is reliable and trustworthy not only as a coworker, but more so, as a brother and friend.

His wife, Jocelyn, operates a consultancy company in Labuan. Besides the plethora of social works in which she has been involved over the past many years, she is utterly committed to service in the Church in various capacities. Besides holding a Master of Business Administration degree (Preston, USA), Jocelyn also holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology (CDU, USA) and a Diploma in Counseling Psychology (Singapore).

As Lay Advisors for the Splendour Project, James and Jocelyn provide valuable support and advice for our community on what it means to live one's lay vocation to its fullest potential.
The Splendour Project is a name that represents a collaborative effort among various apostolates and individuals. What brings these apostolates and individuals together is a common commitment to fulfil the evangelisation mandate of the Holy Catholic Church in a concerted way (ref. Canon 216, 1983 Code of Canon Law). We are not in any way a Public or a Private Association as defined by the Code of Canon Law.
